Footprint Project
For this project, I made a footprint to introduce myself. You could choose things that you are interested in and that are important to you. It also had to include at least three different medias.
For my footprint, I included a stick family, which represented my family and friends. The picture below the stick family is my dog, who I also consider family. The apple & ruler represent my excitement to be a teacher. The horseshoe represents my love for horses. The white fluff & skier shows I love to ski when I get the opportunity. Last, the kitchen aid mixer and cookie show that I love baking, especially cookies.

Extension Activity
I would integrate this activity with math. In math we would be covering simple geometry; learning about perimeter, length, and width. I would have my students make their footprints and then have them measure the perimeter of the classroom. I would have the students compare their answers because they all have different size feet. I would then have them measure their own foot and have them figure out how many inches the perimeter of the room is. Hopefully when we compare answers, all of the answers will be the same.
